The World's Best Travel Destinations: When To Visit

Hello Wonderful People!

Vietnam, Venice, and Northern Scandinavia are some of Planet Earth’s most incredible places to visit and I've been lucky enough to visit two of these three. They offer sites you can’t see anywhere else in the world; which
means when you visit any of these places, you want to go at the best time. Doing so empowers you to make the very most of your trip. With this in mind, here is a guide to when to visit these three destinations, based on factors like crowds and weather, to make the most of your trip.

Venice
Visit: November through to February
Why? Avoid the crowd
Can’t handle the tourists so often linked with the Italian city of Venice, but can handle the cold? Then November through the winter to February is the time you’ll want to visit. Rather than bright days and blue water, you’ll find the city cloaked in a mysterious mist. This adds to the atmosphere tremendously, making the incredible architecture seem even more domineering. As for other benefits? The canals don’t smell so bad because they aren’t being heated by the sun. Plus, the locals reclaim their home again, spilling out onto their street and going about their business. Financially, you’ll also find staying in Venice far cheaper in the winter. Hotels drop their room rates, and flights might be cheaper too, due to lower demand.

Northern Scandinavia
Visit: September or October
Why? Best time to see the Northern lights
Despite being one of nature's finest spectacles, only a few people get to see the Northern lights. This means that if you take a trip to Northern Scandinavia, where they can be seen, you'll want to go when the chances of seeing them are highest. This is why seeing the Northern Lights in autumn is a good decision. They are known to be a sight to behold and something that's well and truly on my bucket list! However, did you know that there are different benefits to going during each Autumn month? Take September, for example. The temperatures are slightly milder than later months, which you many consider a benefit. Plus, you can see the lights reflected in the water, something you can’t see once it freezes over. On the other hand, many experts site October as the best month to go.

Vietnam
Visit: February or March
Why? Avoid the rain
Vietnam, while less popular with tourists than its neighbour Thailand, is one of the most beautiful countries on earth. With caves, paddy fields, bays, beaches, and islands, there truly is everything you could want here. However, temperatures can get high, and rainfall is rife during the summer months. Both excessive heat and excessive rain can ruin a holiday or trip, if not cause problems and hindrances. However, Vietnam is a big country; 600 miles long, in fact! This means that the weather can be pretty different in the North to the South. So, in places like Sapa and Hanoi, the weather is likely to be much cooler to places like Ho Chi Minh City, in the South. If you want to see the whole country at once, finding a time when everywhere has a good temperature can be tricky. This is why February and March is a good bet. Pretty much everywhere is dry, and pretty much everywhere is at a bearable temperature.
