Find Out Why You Should Book A Trip To The Caribbean Right Now

Hello Wonderful People!

It’s time to start thinking about your summer holiday now if you haven’t planned one already. And what better trip for summer than heading off to a country with beaches and lots of outdoor activities! So how about travelling to one of the countries in the Caribbean?! Once a playground for the rich and famous, the Caribbean has become a lot cheaper in recent years. So if you’re looking for a budget trip to an exotic location, this could be the destination for you. Still not convinced? Here are some more reasons why you should probably book a trip there right now!

Jamaica
Possibly one of the Caribbean’s most famous islands, Jamaica has a reputation for being very relaxed and chilled out. The scenery in Jamaica is fantastic. You’ll find lots of beautiful hikes and treks through jungles and up the stunning Blue Mountains. There is also a lot of delicious food to try while you are there. Plantains and jerk chicken are some of Jamaica’s most famous dishes. While you’re enjoying your meal, put on a Bob Marley record to really get into the Jamaican spirit!

St. Lucia
Holidays in St Lucia offer travellers so many unique opportunities. You can hit the many beaches and go surfing or simply lounge on the sand with a cocktail in hand. Or how about hiking up the Pitons? The St. Lucia Botanical Gardens are also a must-see as they are the home of the famous Diamond Waterfall. Fans of cricket can catch a game at the popular Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium. If you are going to St. Lucia on a romantic getaway, be sure to visit Marigot Bay. This stunning area is popular with couples on their honeymoon. Once you see the views, you’ll know exactly why it’s thought of as romantic!

Antigua
Antigua is the typical Caribbean island so be sure to pack a bathing suit and plenty of sun cream! There is a lot of sunbathing and paddling in the ocean to be done. The island is also historically significant as well as Horatio Nelson was once stationed here with the British navy. Antigua is becoming more and more touristy, so if you’d rather a more tranquil retreat, book a stay in its sister island, Barbuda. It is much smaller than Antigua and has fewer hotels, so you’re guaranteed a bit more peace and quiet.

Grand Cayman
Made up of the famous Cayman Islands, this country is popular with those wanting to do a lot of boutique shopping. It has a fairly glitzy reputation, but it is possible to stay away from all the expensive hotels and restaurants. Just head out east. The eastern islands are a lot quieter, and you’ll find a lot of affordable hotels in this area. But one thing’s for sure. No trip to the Cayman Islands is complete without a trip to the gorgeous Seven Mile Beach. Divers love the waters surrounding the many beaches as they are full of colourful reefs and vibrant sea life.

Have you ever been to the Caribbean? Where would you recommend?
