England: The Best Tourist Attractions To Visit

Hello Wonderful People!

England is an amazing country. There is something for everyone, whether you enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city or the peaceful mountain tops! There are also some incredible tourist attractions that draw millions of people every year. Let’s have a look at some examples.

Big Ben/Houses Of Parliament
You can’t mention England without talking about Big Ben and the Houses Of Parliament! These are some of the most famous tourist attractions in the entire world. They are a stunning sight to see, and they are located right in the middle of London, meaning there’s plenty to do in the local vicinity after you’re done.

The Tower Of London
The famous and very valuable Crown Jewels are held at the Tower Of London; one of the world’s most popular landmarks. There are lots of exhibitions to see at the tower, as well as daily tours so you can learn about the history of this magnificent place.

Stonehenge
This is also one of the most famous attractions in the UK, and you’ll probably have to book in advance to get entry as it’s so popular! The big slabs that make up this incredible sight are a wonder to behold. How they actually got up there in the first place is anyone’s guess! It’s not too far from London, but you’ll need to book a Stonehenge tour or take the train if you want to commute from the capital city.

Windsor Castle
Built in 1078, Windsor Castle is the summer home of the Royals. It’s a spectacular building, and there’s a lot to explore. You can even get access to the state apartments, albeit when the Queen isn’t at home. You shouldn’t find it too difficult to get to Windsor if you’re staying in the nation’s capital, as it’s only just outside of London.

The Lake District National Park
Tourist attractions aren’t all about big monuments and famous landmarks. The Lake District National Park is a very different type of attraction. It features mountains, hills, rivers and everything you’d expect to find in nature’s idea of paradise. If you prefer the peace and tranquillity of the hills, the Lake District is your ideal destination. It’s not close to London at all, but you won’t want to go to London anyway if this is your idea of excitement.

Eden Project
The incredible Eden Project is located in the southern location of Cornwall; a regular destination for tourist goers. The attraction itself houses a wide spectacle of plant life within its artificial biomes. While it’s a stunning display in of itself, the Eden Project also holds music and arts events all year round. It’s fairly expensive, but most people will tell you it’s worth the money.

We’ve only mentioned six great attractions in England, but there are lots more out there! Try and see as much of England as you can, rather than limiting yourself to London. While it’s a great capital city, England is such a varied country, and you’ll find all sorts of pleasures there.
