Incredible Places to Go for a Wildlife Holiday

Hello Wonderful People!

Whenever I travel to somewhere new, I love to experience some of the local wildlife. Sometimes I observe from afar, and sometimes I get up close and personal. I've ridden an elephant and stroked a tiger, among other things. If wildlife is your thing, there are lots of holidays where you can spend the whole time on the lookout for local fauna. You can see anything from whales to wolves around the world. Even as the weather gets colder, there's somewhere you can jet off to and spot some incredible beasts. These are some of my favourite options for seeing some amazing animals in the wild.

Tanzania
Going on a safari is one of my bucket list items. I've been on a desert safari when I went to Dubai, but spotting the Big Five in Africa is still something I'd love to do. Tanzania has become one of the most attractive countries for safaris, so it would be one of my top picks. The five animals that everyone says you have to see are lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards and buffalo. You can choose to go on a luxury safari, where you can spend your time in comfort and want for nothing. But if you're on more of a budget, you can save some money by avoiding the luxury companies.

Canada
Canada is a great place for several different types of wildlife. It's a favourite place to go for whale watching, in particular. You can spot humpbacks, orcas, and several other species. Plus there are plenty of dolphins and porpoises too. Apart from all the whales, there are grizzly bears, polar bears, bald eagles, and more. And while you go looking for all this incredible wildlife, you can see some fantastic scenery at the same time. You can choose from hundreds of beautiful holidays to Canada in 2016 if you're planning your travels for next year. You could go on a road trip, enjoy a cruise or do a journey by train.

Norway
There are plenty of other places to find bears. If you want to stay a bit closer to home, Norway is one of the best places to visit for polar bears. Svalbard is well-known as being a hotspot for searching out these incredible bears. The archipelago in the Arctic Ocean is about halfway between Norway and the North Pole. Not only do they have plenty of polar bears, but you can also see reindeer and Arctic foxes. Of course, it gets pretty chilly, so you have to be prepared for the cold if you want to go. Wrap up warm if you're planning on a visit this winter!

India
The first animal you think of in India is probably tigers. It's a great place to go on a tiger safari and try to find the largest big cat in the world. But tigers aren't the only things India has, and you'll find plenty of other incredible wildlife. It's a fantastic place for birdwatchers, who are sure to love all the exotic species they can find. Then there's elephants, monkeys, bears, deer and more. They have more wildlife than you can shake a stick at.

The Galapagos
Ecuador's Galapagos Islands are something of a pilgrimage for wildlife lovers. The islands are full of weird and wonderful animals, from birds to lizards. There are whales, dolphins, seals and water birds in the water. Of course, there are several species of Darwin finches, famous for being part of Charles Darwin's study. You can see eagles, owls, flamingos, and even penguins. Plus, there are tortoises, iguanas and plenty of other reptiles.

Spain
You might be surprised that Spain is a great place to see some awesome wildlife. Wolves are one of the main attractions to wildlife lovers going to Spain. You'll find them in Sierra del Culebra, where wolf experts track them. You go out at dawn and dusk to look for the wolves, but there's plenty of other wildlife to spot in between. Spain is also a great destination if you want to see some orcas. You don't have to go all the way to Canada or the US when you can spot killer whales visiting Andalusia in the summer. You can go on a trip around Gibraltar with the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society.

I would love to experience some of these trips to spot some remarkable wildlife around the world. It's a great way to travel if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of a holiday in the city.
