10 Things to do in Europe Before You Die

Hello Wonderful People!

Europe is an awesome continent, and I often forget how lucky I am to live here. There are SO many countries only a short flight away, making it super easy to visit new cities and experience new cultures. I've been to a fair amount of European countries, but there are still so many I'd like to visit, especially in Eastern Europe. Europe has such a rich history with diverse cultures, meaning each country has so much to offer for tourists. I've come up with 10 things that I think everyone should see or do when visiting Europe. Some of these I've been fortunate enough to have already done and the others are on my to do list!

Travel Guides

Go up the Eiffel Tower, Paris
Along with garlic, cheese and wine, the Eiffel Tower is pretty synonymous with the image of France (sorry, not sorry for my gross stereotyping). Any trip to Paris would not be complete without a visit to the top of the tower. The view from the top is pretty special, so it's definitely worth it.

Visit Auschwitz, Poland
This isn't the most uplifting day trip, but I firmly believe everyone should visit Auschwitz if they get the chance. Words can't really describe the atmosphere of the place, but the holocaust is such an important piece of European history that should never be forgotten.

Take a tour of the Coliseum, Rome
Rome is full of amazing Roman architecture, but the most impressive has to be the Coliseum. Make sure you get a guided tour, as you'll learn all the fascinating and gruesome facts about the history of this iconic landmark.

Ski in the Alps
I love skiing and there are some amazing resorts in the Alps. It's such a fun holiday and there really is no better place to go! Hit up some of the bigger French resorts if you're also after the Après nightlife.

Have tapas in Barcelona
Barcelona is a beautiful city and there's no better way to pass the time than sitting at a street side café, with a glass of sangria and array of tapas, watching the world go by.

Go for a bike ride in Amsterdam
The Dutch are famous for their love of bike riding as a mode of transport; so make like a local, grab a bike and take a tour of the city with your two wheeled friend.

See Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, London
No trip to London is complete without a trip to these two iconic British landmarks. Check out Buckingham palace at the changing of the guard, to witness a historic tradition.

Visit the Brandenburg Gate, Berlin
There's so much to see and do in the German capital, but a quick trip to this striking landmark is an absolute must when visiting the city.

Ride a gondola in Venice
There is no better way to explore this city of canals than on a gondola. You'll be able to get to places you're feet can't take you to and experience the city from a different point of view.

See the Northern Lights, Iceland
Aurora Borealis has to be one of the most magical and awe-inspiring natural phenomena in the world. Many people visit Iceland purely to witness this amazing spectacle. So if you're there, it would be criminal not to try and see them.
