In true British form the weekend is set to be miserable; cloud and rain are forecast to be the main feature of the weekend, how splendid. Hello Wonderful People! As experiences go, a river cruise was not at the top of my list. Not by a long shot! My travelling wish list consists of the weird and the wonderful from across the globe that everyone one day dreams of visiting. Like island hopping in Thailand or going to St Petersburg in Russia . You know something glamorous and full of culture. However, the other day I had an interesting conversation about river cruises and did a bit of research. Want to know what I found out? Hello Wonderful People! My parents have been visiting London for the past couple of weekends, which gave me the perfect excuse to check out some more of London's famous sights and events. I've managed to squeeze in art, culture and a little bit of music; all of which I highly recommend to check out if you can!  

Hello Wonderful People! I'm going back to Thailand and I literally can't contain my excitement! I'll be jetting off to Bangkok in October, for a 12-day whistle stop tour of the country. It's going to be amazing tip, but going back to Thailand after my last visit over 2 years ago, is going to be very bizarre. I think my travel bug is going to be reignited! I'm jetting off with 7 of my best mates and we are currently facing a major dilemma: where shall we head to make the most of our trip? We want to see Bangkok and go island hopping, but with only 12 days to fit everything in, we have to stick to a strict route. I'm not normally a fan of following an itinerary when travelling, it can detract from the spontaneity and sense of adventure. However, in this case I'm willing to let it slide, as we want to see and do as much as possible in the short time we have. Hello Wonderful People I love Ireland. Everything about it is just awesome. The people, the countryside, the cities, the food, the drink. Everything. Well, everything except the weather. My friends and I went on a short mini-break last weekend to Dublin, and we had the best time! Ireland is so close to the UK and flights are so cheap, making it the perfect destination for a quick get away. Our holiday didn't get off to the best start, with our flight being delayed for 4 hours (Cheers Ryanair)!! Instead of arriving at 9:20pm, we finally landed at 1:15am and promptly headed straight to a bar. When on holiday, it's never to late for a drink, that's what I say.

Especially when you consider the size of somewhere like the U.S. But why do people love it so much? In case anyone needs reminding, there's a bank holiday weekend on the horizon and that's the only excuse I need to book a little get away; but where to go? Picking a new destination suitable for a weekend away can be tricky. Finding the right flight times to make the most of your trip, at the right price, can be an impossible task. Plus, the flight itself can take a good chunk of precious time away from your short break. I'm always so determined to jet off somewhere exotic that I fail to consider staying on this amazing little island. Opting to stay in the UK has its perks. Ok, the weather isn't always guaranteed, but if you can let that slide, bonny old England has a lot to offer.
