Planning a City Break for my Mother

Image
Hello Wonderful People! My mama will be celebrating the big 5-0 in November (I'm sure she'll hate the fact I'm broadcasting this fact, sorry mum) and she's asked if I could research a European city break for her and her partner to go on. As I'm a complete travel addict, researching travel is like second nature and I'm always on the lookout for a great holiday deal. I really should have picked a career as a travel agent, so I'd actually get paid to do this!

2014: In Pictures

Hello Wonderful People!   Happy New Year! Last year was a pretty damn good year and I've taken a hell of a lot of photos to document the times I've had. So instead of them sitting unlooked at on my Facebook (apart from the stalkers, obv) I thought I'd dust them down and put my favourite ones on here! Be prepared.. there are quite a few, so sorry if I bore you, but I love a good old trip down memory lane!

A Cheeky Trip to Budapest

Image
Szia C sodálatos Emberek   My boyfriend and I decided to take a trip away rather than get each other Christmas presents, and our chosen destination was Budapest. I'd heard great things about the city and it also seemed to be a really cheap destination to visit. We were initially going to go to somewhere in the UK, with Edinburgh being our top choice. However, after finding some cheap flights (£60 return) to Budapest with Ryanair it seemed like a no brainer to head to Hungary. I was shocked to discover how cheap the accommodation was, we stayed in a four star apartment for 2 nights, right in the centre for just under £30 each! Quite the bargain if I do say so myself (check out our accommodation here )! The location was perfect, we were within walking distance of so many bars, cafes and restaurants as well as the main metro station. The whole trip cost me £190, including transport, accommodation and spending money; not too shabby for thoroughly...
