Hello Wonderful People!   Happy New Year! Last year was a pretty damn good year and I've taken a hell of a lot of photos to document the times I've had. So instead of them sitting unlooked at on my Facebook (apart from the stalkers, obv) I thought I'd dust them down and put my favourite ones on here! Be prepared.. there are quite a few, so sorry if I bore you, but I love a good old trip down memory lane!

                                           Hola Gente Maravillosa! As we only had a short amount of time in Chile, before flying to Lima, we decided to get out of Santiago for a day in an attempt to see a bit more of the country. Valparaiso was our chosen destination as it was only an hour from Santiago, meaning we could get there and back in a day while also spending a good chunk of time in the city. Valparaiso is a beautiful little city, with a busy port, located on the coast of Chile. The city itself is really hilly and hundreds of mulit-coloured houses wind up, down and in between the hills; making for a very pretty view. As the city is full of steep hills, there are tens of funiculars dotted all over the place, so you don’t have to face a gruelling walk up hill in the heat. Hola Gente Maravillosa! After finally crossing the border through the Andes from Mendoza to Santiago, we only had a couple of days to explore Chile.  We arrived at the main bus terminal with no Chilean money, no battery on our phones and we hadn't booked a hostel either. I can be quite a disorganised traveller – but I’m never usually that bad! I blame the hectic bus journey for our distinct lack of organisation.

Hola Gente Maravillosa! I'm not going to lie, I'm by no means the most organised traveler in the world. While I'm pretty on the ball back at home, when on the road I always assume I have all the time in the world and everything will fall into place. So doing research into how I'd actually get from Argentina to Chile didn't even enter my head. I just assumed I'd hop on a bus and it would be super easy. How wrong I was.
