Inner West Is Best!

Image
Last week marked my 6 month anniversary in Australia. 6 months. How did that happen? Time seems to have flown by, but living in London also feels like a lifetime ago, and I really do miss it. After 5 long, long months of hostel living, myself and 2 friends FINALLY moved into a flat in the wonderful Newtown. Never again will I take my own personal space for granted. And never again do I want to live in a room with 9 other people. Never.

Where to Enjoy the Sun in London

Image
Summer is nearly upon us which means endless sunny days are just round the corner. Well, when I say endless sunny days , I actually mean the odd day here and there. Let's be honest British summers are usually a wash out, so when the sun decides to grace our presence with its rays we need to make the most of it. I love London, but it's not the best place to be when the weather is hot. Outdoor space is limited, you have to fight for a square inch of grass in every park and don't even get me started on the tube. Despite this there are some great places to head to if the weather heats up this summer. Just remember to mentally prepare for the crowds, as the chances are 9 million other Londoners will have the same idea.

The London List: Drinking

Hello Wonderful People   Bank holiday weekend is upon us; what better excuse do we need to head out with our mates for a few bevvies? In true British form the weekend is set to be miserable; cloud and rain are forecast to be the main feature of the weekend, how splendid. If your weekend plans were weather dependant, then head to one of these lovely bars to avoid the rain and do a sun dance!

Hello Wonderful People! Summer is well and truly in full swing and so far, the weather has been pretty awesome. Summer in London is the perfect time to hit a beer garden or roof top bar and catch up with friends in the sun. So, for research purposes only (ha, I joke) I've sampled a few more bars that are the perfect place for a summer tipple.

Emerald Street Brunch

Hello wonderful people! If, like me, you absolutely love The Stylist and sign up to their awesome daily emails from Emerald Street , you'll probably have heard about the Emerald Street Brunch. The event took place last Saturday, and was packed full of food stalls offering all kinds of mouth watering brunch dishes. Food and drink weren't the only thing on offer though; you could get temporary tattoos, have your hair braided, make a flower crown or take part in the hilarious egg drop. The weather was glorious and my friend Brooke (check out her lovely blog here ) and I ended up spending the whole day there, there was just so much to eat, drink and do. It was awesome.

Hello Wonderful People! I've not done a London List: Drinking post for a while, as I've been busy and out of London for the past few weekends. Plus I've been attempting to save money, so after work drinks have taken a back seat. However, as the weather has started to brighten up, it's been too tempting to grab a bevvy in the sunshine, so I've managed to visit a few new drinking holes!

Hello Wonderful People! It's time for yet another instalment of the Drinking List. The fact that I do these rather regularly has made me slightly worried about how much alcohol I consume on a weekly basis. This weeks post is a quite a long one and I've discovered a few new favourites. Plus there's a few cracking pictures involved. God bless Instagram.

Hello Wonderful People! This instalment of The London List: Drinking is rather jam packed. Despite trying to save money and drink less during the week, I've somehow managed to visit a fair few places recently. However, as I love exploring new places to drink and suffer from serious FOMO, I'm not too fussed that I've failed in my attempt to save both money and my liver. You can't drink when your dead, that's what I say.

Hello Wonderful People! It's safe to say I like a drink. Actually, scratch that, I love a drink. Or 2. Or 7. Whatever, who's counting anyway? While I have my favourite bar, that is conveniently just round the corner from work, I've also managed to discover a few more watering holes to grace my presence with. I also need to stop going up the Shard for a casual drink. I can't bloody afford £8 for a glass of wine. But I'm a sucker for a view, and the Shard has a cracking one.

Hello Wonderful People! There are so many places to go for a drink in London, it's actually pretty ridiculous. On pretty much every corner there's a cute little old school pub, fancy cocktail bars line many streets and the amount of nightclubs is staggering. However, I'm more interested in finding the more unique, hidden bars that London has to offer.
